Conference Venue

The conference will be hosted by the newly built (2008) Congress Centre "U Hájků" situated at the border of the historical centre of Prague. It can comfortably accommodate a conference with more than 500 participants, yet it is not excessively large, which is ideal for the 24th ECIS meeting. The conference centre is located at the crossing of two underground lines, tram and bus lines which makes it easily accessible from any part of the city. Main bus and train stations are within a walking distance (5-15min). The centre can also be easily reached from a highway and provides an underground parking with about 100 places.
The nearest parts of the historical centre can be reached within 5 minutes of walk.

Two large hotels providing a sufficient number of 4* and 5* rooms at a reasonable price (cca 80EUR/double room incl. breakfast) are an inherent part of the conference centre. A number of cheaper hotels (cca 50EUR) and hostels (ca 20-30EUR) are available within a walking distance or accessible within a few minutes by public transport. Discount prices for conference participants are being negotiated and the information about the hotels will be displayed on this web page.
